AquaShield filters remove solid contaminants in the same manner as a normal spin-on filter. They are designed to remove from the liquid being filtered all particles larger than 10 microns.

In addition to the standard particulate media, a superabsorbant polymer is laminated into a second layer of fiberglass media within the filter housing. This polymer -- capable of absorbing 300 times its weight in water -- is unaffected by hydrocarbons.

AquaShield spin-on filters are available in diameters of 4 inches ("4" Series) and 5 inches ("5" Series). The appropriate size will be determined by your line size and fluid volume.

The AquaShield product numbering system follows the following formula:

e.g. 405H10

"4" is the filter diameter (4 inches)

"05" is the filter length (5 inches)

"D" indicates dispenser type filter

"10" indicates filtration to 10 microns
