THE SYSTEM
The ULTRA FILTRATION system is a portable,
trailer mounted filter/separator designed to remove particulate,
free water and emulsified water, whereby eliminating expensive
maintenance and minimizing equipment down-time.
The ULTRA FILTRATION system works as contaminated fluid is fed
to the inlet point of the skid and charged with a rotary screw
pump to (up to) 50 psi @ 300 USGPM. Fluid is sent immediately
through a PALL duplex filter to free it of particulate to any
required specification. PALL Ultipor TM III b2.5 ³ 1000
cartridges are used to provide the best filtration available
today.
From the duplex filter the fluid is directed through a horizontal
coalescing filter to remove any free water. Once the system
fluid has reached its water saturation point, a portion of the
total flow (up to 2700 GPH) is directed through a PALL 2703
Purifier. This unit removes emulsified water through the use
of a heater, vacuum dehydration chamber and high capacity polishing
filter. The purifier can provide water removal 100% free water
and 80% of dissolved water, decreasing water content to well
below saturation.
The entire system handles volumes up to 300GPM. System flow
is controlled by a frequency modulator which directly proportions
the shaft RPM of the pump drive motor to allow optimum pump
performance at all times. The system includes an inline water
sensor, real time water monitor, particle size analyzer and
volumetric flowmeter, all of which data is provided to the customer.
The PURIFIER and the FILTER/SEPARATOR
systems are mounted on separate skids with independent power
connections to allow either system to be operated independent
of the other. All necessary hoses, fittings and tools are
provided with the system.
The entire system is installed in a customized trailer-van
with a separate equipment and operator room. The ULTRA FILTRATION
system is designed for 24 hour operation and for use under
rugged conditions.

THE FILTER/SEPARATOR
The Filter/ Separator Skid contains
the pump, dual particulate filter and free water removing
coalessing vessel.
- PALL Model 303D High Capacity Duplex
Filter for 400GPM capacity. Duplex filter allows for
continuous filtration during element change-outs.
- PALL Ultipor™ III filter
elements are used.
- VELCON horizontal coalescing
separator to remove 100% of free water. Capacity of 90GPM
and provides particulate and coalescing staged filtration
to 3 micron.
- Fully closed-loop drain system using air diaphram pump to
remove all liquids from the entire system. No spillage will
be tolerated.
